Bandaranaike International Airport to Negombo - Pool Recovery Day

Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. Short transfer to Negombo. Check in and spend the afternoon by the pool – exactly what is needed after a long-haul flight. Overnight in Negombo.

Negombo to Sigiriya via Pinnawala - Elephant River Bathing & Pidurangala Sunset

Drive toward the Cultural Triangle with a stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage for the morning river bathing. Continue northeast to Sigiriya. Evening climb of Pidurangala Rock – the best panoramic view of Sigiriya at sunset, with far fewer people than Sigiriya itself. Overnight in Sigiriya.

Sigiriya to Kandy via Dambulla & Matale - Rock Fortress, Cave Temples & Cultural Evening

Early morning climb of Sigiriya Rock Fortress before the heat builds. Continue to Dambulla Cave Temple – five ancient cave shrines with vividly coloured Buddha statues that impress travellers of all ages equally. Continue south to Kandy with a spice garden stop in Matale. Evening traditional Kandyan cultural dance performance. Overnight in Kandy.

Kandy to Yala - Botanical Gardens, Lake, Temple & Dry Zone Descent

Morning at Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens. Walk around Kandy Lake. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Scenic drive south toward Yala through the dry-zone transition landscape. Overnight near Yala.

Yala to Mirissa - Morning Safari & Beach Afternoon

Early morning jeep safari in Yala National Park – Sri Lanka’s most celebrated wildlife reserve, with the highest leopard sighting rates in Asia alongside elephants, crocodiles, peacocks and exceptional birdlife. Continue west to Mirissa for a beach afternoon. Overnight in Mirissa.

Mirissa to Colombo - Beach Morning, Turtle Centre & Departure

Morning at the beach. Scenic drive north along the Southern Expressway toward Colombo. Optional stop at the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Centre. Airport transfer and departure.
